“This book covers an introduction to the instruments of the trade, perspective, faces, inking, and anatomy, also borders. If you’re a beginner, (like me), you may find it useful as an introduction and encouragement. Also, don’t avoid the “how many heads tall” section, just because it’s boring. Yes, it’s boring, but I found it immensely helpful once I broke down and read it. There are lots of drawings to illustrate what they’re talking about, and question and answer pages at the back of most chapters. My one complaint would be that most of the drawing are of females. It seemed like they didn’t have quite enough reference drawings for drawing men. But, all in all, a good book.
