Corel Painter Official Magazine

corel painter official magazine

Book Title: Corel Painter Official Magazine Issue 01
Author: Imagine Publishing Ltd
Published: 2007 Year
Language: English

Books Description
We had a very clear goal in mind when planning this magazine, and that was to produce something that gave Corel Painter users a regular jolt of inspirational tutorials and practical advice. To achieve this, we came up with a few fiendish plans. The core of the magazine is the tutorials. These will show how to manipulate the tools and commands in Corel Painter and create beautiful pieces of art. There are no boundaries in terms of style here ? we?ll cover everything from watercolours and oils through to charcoal and ink. In addition to the creative tutorials, we will also have in-depth guides to the program?s tools and functions, so you can improve your understanding of the software.

To supplement the program-specific guidance, readers can enjoy regular features on traditional art theory and techniques. Let?s face it ? if you?re interested in Corel Painter, you no doubt have a love of art in general, so we thought it was important to look at the techniques and practices that artists use. The regular Drawing 101 section will explain artistic concepts in depth, and cover subjects such as perspective, composition and shading, in addition to showing how to draw freehand. You can also benefit from Corel Painter artists explaining the creative process behind one of their images_about and then try and create it yourself. And we can?t forget the Paint Like? tutorials, which show you how to re-create a famous painting and discover more about that artists? style.

Book Title: Techniques for Drawing Female Manga Characters (v. 20)
Author: Hikaru Hayashi
Publisher: Graphic-Sha; illustrated edition edition (February 1, 2000)
Paperback: 128 pages
Language: English
ISBN-10: 476611146X
ISBN-13: 978-4766111460

Book Description
This book Drawing Female Manga Characters is intended for those who want to refine their manga skills, specially those making a transition from a more realistic anatomy to a cartoony style. Even if it has some little translation problems, it gives very good reference and pointers for depicting a simplified female form in an alluring way, with lots of subtle little tricks to convey character (limb positioning, body types, facial expressions, proportions, etc). As far as the manga style fundamentals, you may want to consider getting “How to Draw Manga“, from the same publisher…

Book Review
“This book would be very inspirational to a beginner, but it doesn’t give a very good foundation on how they make the lovely pictures in the book. To those of us who’ve been at it for a while, though, it’s a wonderful book, full of insight, and funny Japanese quirks, like 7 pages on how to draw panties… Prudish parents, beware, it does get pretty involved on drawing the “girly” parts of the girls… This is a great book, looks like they don’t keep it in good enough circulation, though!” –By TW (Austin Texas)
